Like many mums of more than 1 child, an ample amount of our baby toys have been handed down. These are 10 of my favourite baby toys from 0-6 months, which I have carefully compiled so as to avoid toy overload! Although to keep it real, the first few months really gravitate around feeding round the clock, nappy changes and well, cuddles!

1. Cuddle + Kind

Cuddle + Kind have the most adorable hand knitted dolls to ahh… cuddle! My eldest was gifted the enchanting Sebastian the Lamb as a baby… but I’d like you to also meet Sawyer the Lion, HERE. Each doll comes with a little quote… ‘Courage, dear heart!’ for the Lion and ‘You are loved, little prince!’ for the Lamb.

A purchase with an impact! 1 Doll provides 10 meals to children in North America and around the world, as well as support artisans in Peru.

2. Sophie La Girafe

Handmade and conceived in France in 1961, Sophie La Girafe is an intergenerational icon for babies worldwide! With her long legs and neck, babies are able to easily soothe their sore gums. Not only is Sophie fabulously flexible but she is made from 100% natural rubber. Oh and to top it off, baby’s will be drawn to her dark and contrasting spots, stimulating their vision.

3. Wee Gallery Peek a Boo Ocean

I’m all about the ocean vibes, right?! So of course this ocean related sensory rich book has been included in this list! Oh hello motor skills… Each spread has a flap which can be lifted to reveal a hidden ocean related illustration… like this pearl oyster! Did someone say oyster?! High contrast patterns have also been used to stimulate the baby’s vision as they navigate life under the sea… under the sea!

4. Lovevery Play Gym and Play Kits

The Lovevery Play Gym is not only aesthetically beautiful, but it grows with your child! The Play Gym comes with a mirror card set, organic high contrast ball and organic cotton teether. The Play Gym has also been carefully crafted with different zones such as a ‘Learn to Focus Zone’ and ‘Exploring Colours’ Zone. In addition to this, Lovevery offer subscription Play Kits which are tailored towards each developmental stage and help encourage intentional play, starting with the Looker Play Kit from 0-12 weeks.

These items came with the Senser Play Kit from 5-6 months. I loved the play socks which would makes a jingle jangle sound every time my baby kicked, wiggled and moved, assisting with body control. Parents are also given a play guide with highlights from neuroscience and Montessori experts.

5. Good night You Good Night Me: A Soft Bed Time Book with Mirrors

Not quite a toy, but this beautiful cloth book helps alight those warm and fuzzy feelings, and works well just before bedtime! A tiny mirror has been included at the end of the book for a little baby gazing action before… lights off, night night!

6. Skip Hop Explore & More Follow Me Bee

You will ‘bee’ rather pleased with this stimulating on the go bee for use during tummy time! The bee also comes with small handles to grasp and hold for pre crawlers!

7. Cuski Baby Comforter
